Walk For Autism

Empowered, Enthusiastic &  Encouraged!

The 10th annual Walk Now for Autism on Saturday April 21 was absolutely amazing! It was organized, informative and energizing. We browsed the booths and networked our way for two hours. The music was soothing and the play area for the children was awesome! The walk was empowering as we held hands, persevered and gained strength from one another. The T-Shirts this year were so creative as everyone proudly posed for pictures and played games and participated in arts and crafts. Vendors were customer service friendly and patient as the sun beamed they bounced and shared ideas and information with all of us to help  support our loved ones.

Team Chandler and friends were truly empowered, enthusiastic and encouraged to continue to discover and help raise awareness to Autism. According to the http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/data.html 1 in 88 children are diagnosed with Autism (ASD). The more the numbers increase the more encouraged I am to get the news out to support and help find a cure. Lets continue to work together and grow in numbers and advocate.

I would like to directly thank Linda Johnson,Trisha Yates and Keesha Hollier-Gates for Saturday! Each of you took this walk to another level and it awesome!  Also, I appreciate the ladies I speak to weekly though emails, text, in person for networking and continued support through this journey we share. Finally, I would like to thank my family and friends that gave and will continue to support through donations.
